Yowsers, it was cold out this morning.  I know, those of you on the East Coast have been feeling this cold for awhile now, but remember us Cali-folks are a touch spoiled out here.  This morning was the first really cold morning this year - or at least the first one requiring the full courage and determination ensemble.

I apologize for having to raise the shipping rates...  but the post office has raised them 3 times since we've had it set at $6.95.  That said, the end of FREE SHIPPING month seemed the right time to update it.

we've had some questions recently about our shipping policy.

Yes, in the past we have been happy to provide return shipping materials upon request.  We also never put stuff on sale.  However, the current economic environment has forced us to offer deeply discounted items on a fairly regular basis.  That said, we are saddened to report that cannot offer our unusually high level of service on sale purchases.  This is stated on the check out page.  For full price purchases we will strive to continue our exceptional service.

I do greatly regret this, as it takes most of the fun out of it for me as well.  I have always wanted to be the company that I would want to do business with.  But in these times, we sometimes have to listen to our accountants...
